Seminar GMP+ International

Antibiotics were part of our feed production for a long time. They were used for prevention, treatment and to control bacterial infections in livestock animals, or even to enhance animal performance.

Over the years, the livestock and feed sectors have agreed to reduce and eliminate their use, in order to prevent resistant bacteria from developing and threatening human health. But how is Asia's feed industry doing in cutting back on antibiotics and medicines in the production of animal feed? Our goal is simple: to raise awareness. We will help clarify existing rules, so that everyone knows what is expected and how to meet industry standards. And we aim to offer tips for better feed production.

Takeaways:

  • Create awareness: Participants will leave with information to ensure the production of safer animal feed for livestock.
  • Joint responsibility: Empower participants to share awareness of the impact of antibiotics and medicines in feed production and be guided by rules imposed by the authority and private organisations.
  • Networking: Encourage a sense of community and collaboration among participants, as well as knowledge exchange in the industry.
