31 January 2019

Introducing the trainees.

Johan den Hartog, Managing Director: “We are extremely excited to announce that we have launched our very first “Trainee Program” at GMP+ International. We have started a one-year program for the trainees which offers them a 360-degree development program, covering everything GMP+ International has to offer. During the program, they will discover everything they need to know about our products, services and the ever so important GMP+ Community. The trainee program will not only benefit them in important developments of skills and experiences but we will also benefit from their cultural diversity and experiences they bring to GMP+ International. We wish them good luck during their trainee program at GMP+ International and we are looking forward to a successful trainee program!”

Chao is originally from China and is 25 years old. He has previously interned with the Chinese General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine as well as the Business Economics Group at Wageningen University. His Bachelor and Master studies focused on food quality and safety. He believes that the safety and quality of feed strongly impacts the food we consume. Therefore, after graduating from Wageningen University in 2018, he decided to join the trainee programme at GMP+ International. During his spare time, Chao likes playing soccer and travelling around Europe.

Madhura, 23, completed her MSc in Food Safety from Wageningen University in 2018. Originally from Mumbai in India, she decided to stay back in the Netherlands after her graduation to gain practical experience in the Dutch Agri-Food industry. A strong interest in the public policy sector led Madhura to join the traineeship programme with GMP+ International. She hopes to contribute to the company by applying her knowledge on regulatory affairs, food supply chains, and science communication. In her free time, Madhura can be found experimenting in the kitchen, writing for her blog, and travelling.

Mitchyka Endhoven is 21 years old and was born in Honselersdijk, The Netherlands. Mitchyka’s father owned a rose nursery business and this inspired her passion for the agricultural sector. In 2018, she graduated her BA Business Administration & Agribusiness from the Aeres University of Applied Science in Dronten. She spent the last year of her study honing her skills as an international advisor in the field of mink farming. She has worked in various countries like Germany, South Africa, Romania and Poland. She is enthusiastic and motivated to experience the international world of agriculture and feed safety with the traineeship programme.

Giacomo was born 26 years ago in a village in the north of Italy. He combined the early years of his education with competitive swimming and continues to be an avid swimmer in his free time. He grew up in close contact with farm animals and nature, thanks to his grandparents’ farm. Giacomo has previously studied and worked in Italy, UK and The Netherlands in different sectors. Following his passion for food, he completed a Master’s degree in Food Quality Management from Wageningen University and graduated in 2018.
