GMP+ International was established in 1992 to address concerns around feed contamination. It has grown into the world’s largest feed safety scheme and is now increasingly supporting the industry with their sustainability certification needs.
The 20,000th company to be certified under the GMP+ Feed Certification (FC) scheme is Biomix Poland, which provides a range of supplementary feed mixes for cattle farmers. All certified companies are audited by independent Certification Bodies (CBs) to ensure they meet GMP+ International’s scheme requirements. Global Quality is the CB that authorised Biomix, and their Certification Manager Julia Konstanty-Szewczak said “It is a great honour for us to certify our 20,000th GMP+ customer! The Global Quality certification body has been operating in the GMP+ certification sector for just over two years, which makes it all the more special for us to have contributed to another milestone in the development of the international GMP+ standard.”
