The launch of MI5.7 Feed LCA is an important step towards more reliable sustainability reporting within the feed chain. The standard supports certified companies within the scopes; production of compound feed, premixtures, feed materials, feed additives, and trade in responding to growing sustainability expectations from customers, retailers and legislation. It is based on internationally recognised LCA methodology and aligned with the Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) for feed.
Developed together with the GMP+ Community
The development of MI5.7 Feed LCA is the result of strong cooperation within the GMP+ Community. During the past year, GMP+ International worked closely with industry experts, subcommittees, think tanks, OVOCOM and consultation groups to create a practical and broadly supported standard. This collaboration helped ensure that the standard is both technically reliable and practical for daily use in the feed sector.
