What is the issue?

GMP+ International has been informed regarding high levels of Aflatoxin B1 in maize originating from the United States.

What can you do?

Be alert when purchasing maize originating from the United States. Please note that there are minimum monitoring requirements in place for maize, depending on its country of origin and the type of processing company. For more information see TS1.7 Monitoring. This measure is intended to prevent the purchase or processing of maize and maize by-products that exceed the feed safety limit for Aflatoxin B1.

Status

Product has arrived in Rotterdam, and it is in process of being transshipped to
the barges.
