Important update: new AMA Quality Seal requirements regarding soy from January 1, 2024

For companies that produce and/or trade soybeans, soy products and/or compound feed containing soy for the AMA Quality Seal

As of 01-01-2024, there are a number of important developments for companies that produce and/or trade soy, soy products and/or compound feed containing soy in the AMA Quality Seal.

Requirements as of 01-01-2024

Due to the strong demand from the market to demonstrate sustainability, the AMA Quality Seal requires companies that supply soy (soybeans and soy products) and compound feed containing soy for AMA-Quality Seal farmers to comply with the conditions of one of the GMP+ accepted standards (MI 5.1, MI 5.2, MI 5.3 and MI 5.6) or another accepted standard from 01-01-2024.

Registration for GMP+ Companies

If your company produces and/or trades soy and/or compound feed containing soy for the AMA Quality Seal, registration is required. GMP+ companies can register via the following form. If you have any questions about registration, please contact pastus+.

Certification before 31-12-2024

Companies in the scope have until 31-12-2024 to be certified, but must work in accordance with the conditions of one of the accepted standards for the production and trade of responsible soy and/or responsible compound feed by 01-01-2024. Certification can take place during the next regular audit in 2024.

Labelling

Positive declaration of the status of the feed by means of a reference to the scope of the feed is allowed. See chapter 4.5 of the R 5.0 Feed Responsibility Management Systems Requirements.
