Safe and sustainable feed depends on knowledgeable, capable professionals throughout the feed chain. The pace of change in the feed sector has never been faster, so the GMP+ Academy, together with its network of Registered Training Partners, supports continuous professional development by making relevant knowledge accessible to the entire community.
Staying up to date
The GMP+ Feed Certification (FC) scheme is updated regularly so it stays practical and relevant, and knowing what those changes mean for your daily work is essential for professionals in the industry.
That’s why the GMP+ Academy offers an annual e-learning module covering the most important changes to the GMP+ FC scheme. It helps professionals quickly understand what has changed, why these changes were introduced, and learn what the impact is on your Feed Safety Management system.
For certified companies, consultants, and other stakeholders, Understanding GMP+ FC Scheme Changes 2026 explains the latest GMP+ FSA and FRA requirement changes and their practical impact. A dedicated version also supports auditor harmonisation through coordinator-led sessions that provide practical examples and promote consistent application.
The training has been well received, with an average learner score of 8.2 out of 10. The next module with the most important scheme changes for 2027 is planned for March next year, as we continue to support our community to stay equipped and informed.
For organisations looking for a more in-depth explanation of the scheme changes and their practical implications, GMP+ Academy's Registered Training Partners offer additional training and expert guidance. Their courses provide further insights into the updated requirements, help interpret the changes in specific business contexts, and support companies in effectively implementing them within their Feed Safety Management System and sustainability practices.
“Because I now understand the reasons behind the changes, I can explain them more clearly to my clients and implement them in their Feed Safety Management System.” Elke Anseeuw, Consultant Feed Safety at Schouten Advies.
“Having all the latest changes summarised in one training course makes self-study much easier.” Auditor at TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o.
Deep dives
Keeping up with scheme changes is only one part of professional development. Some topics deserve a deeper understanding, especially when putting knowledge into practice.
The GMP+ Academy is expanding its learning offering with additional modules on specific GMP+ topics and other topics related to feed safe and sustainable feed. These include e-learning modules as well as training courses offered by our Registered Training Partners.
And we don't choose these topics at random. We use learner feedback, surveys, and discussions with stakeholders to identify what topics would be most valuable for the community.
Here's how our latest and upcoming offerings can help you:
Safe transport of GMP+ feed: Preventing contamination during transport is essential to feed safety. This recently updated course group helps companies understand how to manage these risks, using real-world examples from ENFIT International Standards to connect learning with practical situations.
Monitoring for companies and auditors: Want to put monitoring requirements into practice with greater confidence? For companies, new e-learning will help you understand and apply GMP+ monitoring requirements in your daily business. And for auditors, a special module will strengthen your ability to assess monitoring plans, sampling activities, results, and follow-up actions - supporting consistent audits.
Free webinar - ‘Building strong supplier relationships and effective audit plans’: Gain practical insights from both an auditor and company perspectives to help strengthen your supplier management approach and improve audit planning. Join on 26 November to hear about common supplier assessment findings, effective supplier management practices, and the importance of strong supplier relationships. You can register here.
Learning opportunities like these help feed professionals stay up to date, deepen their expertise, and build the skills needed to contribute to safe and sustainable feed.
A better learning experience
Since its launch in 2021, the GMP+ Academy has grown into a multilingual learning platform for feed professionals worldwide. And as the Academy's learning offer develops, we want the platform itself to keep pace.
Feedback from learners and our Registered Training Partners tells us that the Academy's content is valued, but that finding and accessing the right training could be easier. As learning platforms continue to evolve, we want the GMP+ Academy to evolve with them: creating a future-proof platform that not only improves access to learning, but also enables new functionality and innovation, including opportunities offered by AI. That’s why a new version of the GMP+ Academy platform is planned for 2027.
Our priority is to make learning easier to find, access and navigate. We want to help users discover relevant courses more easily, provide a clearer overview of the training available, and better support the different needs of learners and Registered Training Partners.
The goal isn't simply a new platform - it's a better learning experience that supports continuous professional development into the future.
We learn from you
The GMP+ Academy was created in response to requests from the feed industry for more knowledge sharing. That same spirit of collaboration continues to guide us as we grow.
And we want to keep listening. What topics would help you and your colleagues develop your expertise? Where would more practical guidance make a difference? And how can we make learning easier and more valuable for you?
Learners and stakeholders like you have been sharing their experiences and ideas through our recently launched GMP+ Academy survey - and we want to hear from you as well. Your feedback will help us understand what's working, what could be improved, and where new learning opportunities would make the biggest difference.
The survey is open until 15 November 2026.
The future of safe and sustainable feed depends on the knowledge and skills we continue to build together. The GMP+ Academy will be here to support that journey.
