GMP+ Feed Certification scheme changes

We are pleased to announce that the changes to the GMP+ Feed Certification (GMP+ FC) scheme documents have been published. Together with our Subcommittees and the International Expert Committee, we have updated several documents.

These updates help to improve safe and sustainable feed and make the certification process clearer and more efficient.

These efforts have resulted in updated versions of several GMP+ FC scheme documents. The full overview of changes is described in S9.1 List of Changes

Below, you will find the main highlights.

  1. We have added several clarifications on requirements in the following documents 

    • F0.3 Scopes for Certification
    • R1.0 Feed Safety Management Systems Requirements
    • TS1.2 Purchase
    • TS 1.7 Monitoring 
    • TS3.3 Inland waterway transport and short sea shipping of feed

    to help companies better understand how the requirements must be implemented.

  2. New products were added in the forbidden list and more clear description of products on TS3.3 Inland waterway transport and short sea shipping of feed - Appendix 1;

  3. For MI5.4 GMO controlled it was added clarification on requirements applicable to mobile mixing facilities;

  4. CR1.0 Acceptation requirements was modified to address the new auditor examination approach and mandatory harmonisation materials;

  5. The minimum audit times for the FRA module were modified in CR3.0 Assessment and Certification of Feed Responsibility Assurance scopes.

  6. The publication of the MI5.7 Feed Life Cycle Assessment is scheduled for 6 May 2026.

Clean versions or track changes

On our website, you will only find the clean versions of the updated documents. The documents with track changes (version comparison) are available exclusively on the website behind the login.

Version comparison available 

After logging in, you can use the version comparison function. This allows you to see all changes online and download the updated documents. Click on “View Online” for documents published on 2 March 2026 to use this feature.

Implementation period:

All changes must be implemented within one year from the publication date, as described in S9.1 List of Changes.
