Trusted partnership continues: GMP+ & Farm Dairy Code

GMP+ International has reaffirmed its long partnership with Bond van Boerderij-Zuivelbereiders (BBZ), ensuring the safe integration of farm cheese whey into the feed chain.

Trusted Partnership

GMP+ International and the Bond van Boerderij-Zuivelbereiders (BBZ) have reaffirmed their long-standing partnership by signing an updated acceptance agreement. As part of this agreement, the Hygiene Code for Farm Dairy Producers is now officially recognised as equivalent to the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme. This means that farm cheese whey produced by BBZ-certified farm dairy producers in accordance with the Hygiene Code can continue to be accepted into the GMP+ certified feed chain, under specific safety conditions.

This renewed agreement underscores a shared commitment to upholding high standards of feed safety, sustainability, and transparency in the dairy production sector.
It enables the safe use of locally sourced whey from farm cheese production, contributing to more circular and resource-efficient feed solutions.

True Value

“We value our continued collaboration with BBZ. Recognising the Hygiene Code within our scheme is not just a technical step, it's a commitment to supporting safe, local, and circular feed solutions.” Martine Boon, Managing Director, GMP+ International

"The agreement ensures better alignment between the GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance scheme and the renewed Hygiene Code for Farmhouse Dairy Production (2025 edition). This makes it easier for dairy farmers who both produce animal feed and process dairy to meet all legal and certification requirements.”’- Cees Slob, Chairman, BZZ
