Your certificate issued by DNV Business Assurance Italy S.R.L. ends on 15 July 2026

How do I keep my GMP+ certification?

Following our previous newsletters, GMP+ international does not renew the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme License Agreement with DNV Business Assurance Italy S.R.L (hereafter DNV) ending on 15.07.2026.

Your GMP+ certificate issued by DNV will therefore end on 15.07.2026, even if the end date of your certificate is after this date.

Doing nothing will have the following consequences for your organisation, since you no longer possess a valid GMP+ certificate after this date:

  1.  You are not allowed to offer any GMP+ assured products and services to your GMP+ certified customers.

  2. You must stop using the GMP+ logo, for instance on your documents and your website.

  3. Your company will no longer be listed as a certified company in the GMP+ company database.

Act now
If you want to prevent your organisation from losing the GMP+ certificate, now is the time to switch to another Certification Body, accepted by GMP+.

You can follow the steps below:

  1.  According to article 4.7 of the F0.1 Rights and obligations, your company must conclude a contract with a new Certification Body latest 15.07.2026. We urge you to start with this process as soon as possible.

  2. You are free to choose a new Certification Body yourself. The first step is to look for an accepted Certification Body, which you can find in the GMP+ company database.

  3. Use the filters on the left-hand side to find Certification Bodies that are active in your country.

  4. Click on the registration number of the Certification Body to check:

    - whether the Certification Body offers your scope.
    - their contact details under the tab General information.

Important Note:
Because of the potentially limited capacity of the GMP+ accepted Certification Bodies, we must again emphasise that you need to act as soon as possible to be able to transfer your organisation before 15.07.2026!

To accommodate the transfer of your company, GMP+ International has implemented a special transfer procedure which will reduce the impact of the transfer as much as possible. Below you will find the key elements of this transfer procedure.

  • Continuation of the original validity of your GMP+ certificate.

  • Continuation of the audit frequency during the 3 years cycle without starting with an initial certification audit or any additional audit(s).

You can discuss this procedure with the new Certification Body of your choice. The final decision of using or not using this special procedure is always made by your new Certification Body.

The new Certification Body will ask for the following information:

  • Finalized audit report(s) to demonstrate that the audit frequency of three audits per certification cycle has been respected.

  • Status of open non-conformities.

  • Any other relevant documentation.
