GMP+ International withdraws European Accreditation Acceptance

Wednesday, July 27, 2022

GMP+ International has decided to withdraw European Accreditation (EA) acceptance as of Monday 1 August 2022. This decision has been taken after thorough investigation amongst stakeholders and is mainly based on the fact that the recently published new ISO 22003-1:2022 is focused more on food requirements and is less suitable for the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme 2020.

What does this mean for GMP+ certified companies?

  • Nothing is changing for GMP+ certified companies in their day-to-day business.
  • Nothing is changing for GMP+ certified companies in the cooperation with their certification body.

  • GMP+ International declares that a GMP+ certificate with or without the accreditation logo still has the same value in the GMP+ community. As of 1 August 2022, certificates will be issued without an accreditation logo.

  • GMP+ International will continue to refer to international standards to secure the same high level of certification.
