A number of (new) feed materials have been approved after risk assessment.
Within the scope of the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme, feed materials must be subjected to a safety assessment by means of a risk analysis, in accordance with the HACCP principles.
Based on a desk study, carried out by the members of Technical Committee Feed Support Products (TCFSP), 18 approved (8 new and 10 updated) feed materials are included in the Feed Support Product (FSP) list. The inclusion of feed materials in the Feed Support Product list (via the approval of its risk assessment) is a requirement of the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme. Only products on this list can be used by GMP+ certified companies.
You’ll find an overview of the (new) approved feed materials and background information about the changes in the FSP here.
Please note: All these changes have a direct affect the GMP+ Monitoring database:
If your feed material is not included in the FSP-list or your process deviates from what is described in the risk assessment, please submit a risk assessment application. Information about the procedure and deadline to participate in a TCFSP meetings is available on our website. In this way we work on feed safety together.
…as a GMP+ certified company you may only produce and trade feed materials that are included in the FSP product list.
…and that the feed materials included in the product list are assessed by independent Technical Experts. The checks occur via risk assessment about the production process, used processing aids and/or additives as well as potential hazards.
and in case a feed material is also included in the EU catalogue or the Feed Material Register, the EU number is mentioned as synonym of that specific feed material in FSP product list.
that all this is available for you and supports in your own company, your (supplier) assessment or contact with customers.
…..the product list has been updated to include more than 200 references/ connections to products included in the EU catalogue of feed materials and it is now available on the GMP+ Website!
